PHARMACEUTICAL PROPERTIES
Erythromycin is an antibiotic from the macrolide family with great activity, especially on gram-positive germs and mycoplasmas. Erythromycin is obtained by culturing a strain of streptomyces erythreus. It is a bacteriostatic antibiotic. Its mode of action results in the inhibition of bacterial protein synthesis. Erythromycin is well absorbed from the digestive tract in monogastrics and is widely distributed in the lung, kidney, liver and skin. Erythromycin is eliminated primarily via the bile after hepatic metabolism.

Poultry.
INDICATIONS
Infections with germs sensitive to Erythromycin. It is mainly concerned with the treatment and prevention of avian mycoplasmosis (primary and CKD), infectious coryza, infectious sinusitis and synovitis in poultry.
ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE
Oral use after dilution in drinking water the dose of: 1.0 g / liter of drinking water, or a sachet of 1 kg / ton of water. The duration of treatment is 5 days. It is recommended to pre-dilute the contents of the sachet in 10 to 20 liters of water. Avoid any other source of water for the duration of treatment.
CONTRAINDICATIONS AND INTERACTIONS
Hypersensitivity to Erythromycin. Hepatic dysfunction. Do not administer to rabbits Erythromycin can be safely combined with several other antibacterials such as: tetracyclines, aminoglycosides and sulfonamides.
SIDE EFFECTS
